Philco Scores follows the nine-deal Jamaican contract version that matches the 333 โ 4444 score sheet. House rules can differ, so agree on any table variations before play.
Complete each deal's contract, get rid of your cards, and keep your cumulative score low. After all nine deals, the lowest total wins.
Kalooki uses multiple standard decks with jokers. Jokers are wild, but they have special restrictions in sets and runs.
Three or more cards of the same rank. Suits do not matter. A minimum set must contain at least two natural cards.
Four or more consecutive cards of the same suit. Aces can be high or low at the end of a run, but not in the middle.
1) Draw from the stock or top discard. 2) Lay cards if allowed. 3) Finish by discarding one card. A joker is not discarded.
Your first lay must satisfy the full contract for that deal. After you are down, you may add cards to eligible melds on the table.
Before laying down, you may call a discard out of turn. If allowed, take that discard plus one extra stock card. A player may call at most three times in a hand.
Philco's penalty button adds 50 points. In the referenced Jamaican rules, over-calling and an invalid contract are examples of 50-point penalties.
Joker 50 ยท Black Ace 15 ยท K/Q/J/10 = 10 ยท 2โ9 = face value ยท Red Ace = 1.
When a player gets rid of all their cards, the hand ends. Everyone else adds the value of cards left in hand to their running score.
